A plan to get 1,500 people to consider careers as primary teachers will get an eight-million dollar boost.
The cash will go to La Trobe Uni’s pilot program that aims to train up people currently working in other industries and put them into a-hundred schools across Victoria and NSW.
The pilot program will create 105 primary school teaching places, the first of the government’s proposed 1,500 under a national teacher workforce plan.
