Cannabis found in routine stop

Ten kilos of cannabis have been found in a vehicle stopped by police in Broken Hill.

Officers intercepted the vehicle yesterday morning for random testing, searching the vehicle after talking to the 31-year-old male driver.

He was arrested and was taken back to the police station to assist police with their enquiries.

Police say two women also in the car ran off into a nearby cemetery.

Police wish to speak to two females who are of Asian appearance, aged between 30-40, one wearing light coloured pants and top, and the other wearing white pants and black top.

Both have dark long hair.
