The Federal Government and the Cancer Council are encouraging eligible residents across the area to complete the bowel cancer screening test.
It comes as data reveals the screening rate has dropped to nearly 40% (in 2021-2022) with around 6 million Australians being sent the at-home test, yet only 2.5 million completing it.
Cancer Council Australia CEO, Professor Tanya Buchanan, says the test can be life-saving and is urging eligible residents to ‘get to it’ as soon as they receive their kit in the mail.
If you have not received a kit, or yours is damaged, lost or expired you can ask for another test by going to https://ncsr.gov.au/bowel-screening/reorder-kit/cca
Don’t put off the chance to save your life – take the test.
