There are calls for the Victorian Government to provide funding certainty for the Mode Shift Incentive Scheme.
Mildura MP Jade Benham says that will encourage more freight on rail, but she also wants the government to reinstate the Ballarat Corridor, saying it’ll reduce a trip by 130kms and remove 20-thousand trucks from the roads.
She says drip-feed funding currently being provided doesn’t offer the certainty.
