Victoria’s opposition says outstanding COVID fines should be waived, with a new report accusing police of racial profiling.
The report by Inner Melbourne Community Legal found a third of fines issues by Mildura Uniform Officers were to First Nations persons for breaching lockdown rules in 2020.
Deputy Opposition leader David Southwich says it’s time to move on.

The report also found one in seven fines issued in Swan Hill were to a First Nations person.
