Wentworth Shire Council says the drop pens at Buronga Animal Shelter are temporarily closed due to the number of animals it’s currently housing.
The shire is hoping to have the pens back open as soon as space is available which is expected from tomorrow.
Anyone wanting to surrender a dog are being urged to call 5027 5027.

If you wish to surrender a cat, please hold them for another 2-3 days, until the rehoming is complete.
