Producers along the Murray are being urged to remain alert for any blue-green algae.
Agriculture Victoria says the recent floods and warmer weather conditions have produced favourable conditions for the algae in farm water supplies and standing flood water.
It says producers should check water and farm supplies each day for blooms to prevent any deaths.
