Blue Green Algae

A red alert advisory’s in place for blue green algae in the Darling River at the Pomona Boat ramp.

Water NSW says the red alert applies to untreated water, and will remain in place until further tests confirm the risk has been diminished.

It’s urging people to avoid drinking the untreated water from the section of the river, and not swim in the area.
