Locals are being encouraged to donate blood over the next fortnight.
Steph Reynolds from Red Cross Lifeblood says they’re worried about a donor shortage as the cold and flu season hits, combined with ongoing COVID cases.
And she says they’re after people with O and A blood groups.

Around 2000 donors a week are cancelling and rescheduling appointments Australia wide due to cold and flu symptoms, and it is expected to get worse in the coming weeks.
Thirty people are being encouraged to donate blood at the Mildura blood bank over the next fortnight.
