Local community groups, organisations and schools are being encouraged to apply for funding to help bees across Sunraysia.
Mildura Rural City Council says the Trees for Bees Community Program provides grants of up to five-hundred dollars for groups to plant trees and shrubs friendly for bees in their neighbourhood.
The program is being run by Wheen Bee Foundation in partnership with Carman’s Kitchen.

Applications are now open but will close at the end of July, with more information on the council Facebook page.
