Access to cemetery limited

There is now limited access to Nichols Point Cemetery with floodwaters rising.

Mildura Rural City Council says locals can get into the facility via Karadoc Avenue with Cemetery Road now closed.

But it says while it’s expecting access to be completely closed later this week, it doesn’t believe the cemetery itself will be inundated by floodwaters.

Meanwhile, flooding at Robinvale is close to reaching its peak

The Murray is expected to hit 51.4 metres at Euston, and it is just one centimetre below that.

Authorities say the floodwaters are currently impacting the Robinvale Foreshore Reserve and Riverside Caravan Park, while several local roads are closed.
