Held annually in July, the Mildura Writers Festival presents four days of words, food and wine featuring Australian and international writers.

The 2025 festival celebrates 30 years of the Mildura Writers Festival. 

What’s on offer for 2025:

– 13 sessions with our guest authors Brian Castro, Jaclyn Crupi, Robyn Davidson, Ivor Indyk, Erik Jensen, Jeanine Leane, Prithvi Varatharajan, Thuy On, Damon Young and the recipient of the Tina Kane Emergent Writer Award, Megan Cartwright

– A documentary film, panel discussion and dinner – Flip the Food Bowl

– Three lunches: a riverside picnic with a glass of wine, a Saturday lunch box and the festival finale lunch

– The Big Italian Night Out
Inspired by the 1996 film ‘Big Night’ with Stanley Tucci and Isabella Rossellini, this feature dinner celebrates the history of the Italian diaspora around the world and its influences in Mildura through food and wine served on the night. Jaclyn Crupi, author of Pasta Love, Nonna Knows Best and Garden Like a Nonno joins us to share her stories.
