Now in its 59th year, the annual Red Shield Appeal funds vital community programs.
All funds raised here will stay local, they will continue to help support individuals and families in need in a variety of ways.
There are 100+ people come through the doors every week at the Community Support Services.
They provide over 300 nutritious meals a month at the Community Meals which run from Mildura and Red Cliffs.
The Red Shield also funds the Christmas Day lunch where they have 150+ members of our community, plus Christmas Gift giving and Back to School assistance just to name a few.
In Sunraysia, the Salvos are aiming to raise $30,000 during the Red Shield Appeal this year to support community members doing it tough.
The Red Shield Appeal weekend is set for May 20 and 21, however there are a number of volunteer opportunities available throughout May as will be collecting at a variety of locations between 15th and 27th May.
