Mildura Writers Festival 2026

Across four days, audiences enjoy literary conversations and great food with some of Australia’s best writers.

Authors coming this year include environmentalist and former leader of the Greens Bob Brown (who will deliver the Murray Talk, free to attend), ABC journalist and writer David Marr, Allanah Hunt (who grew up in the region and recently published a YA novel set in a fictional version of Wentworth), novelist Robbie Arnott, poet Maxine Beneba Clarke, humour writer Robert Skinner, and educator Debra Dank.

There are a range of free and affordable sessions to take advantage of.
