Varapodio Estate

Just 5 minutes from the CBD of Mildura, Varapodio Estate is a family-owned and operated Olive Grove. We are just over the Murray River, in the hamlet of Buronga and situated 800 metres from the roundabout heading towards Gol Gol.

Just like its Italian namesake, Varapodio Estate at Buronga is renowned for its top quality olive oils, set amongst a thriving fruit and wine growing region.

Named by the first generation of the Scopelliti family to migrate to Australia in the 1940s, the estate was named in honour of their hometown Varapodio in the Reggio province of southern Calabria.

They may have left that small town behind but they brought all of its magic right here to the Sunraysia district.

Today Varapodio Estate turns out a range of quality olive oil products, including fresh and delicious extra virgin olive oil, as well as dressings, and even moisturisers and soaps.

Visitors are always welcome at the award-winning family-owned estate and will discover the real taste of true Italian-style hospitality at the Varapodio Estate café.

With home cooked meals, beautiful surroundings and an enormous range of locally produced preserves, dry fruit and nuts, you’ll find no shortage of reasons to fall in love with Varapodio Estate.
