Motorsport is fast, loud, and traditionally a bit of a boys’ club. But that is changing rapidly. Formula 1 has been working hard to champion female talent, and now, we are getting a front-row seat. Ahead of the highly anticipated Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix this November, Disney+ is dropping a brand-new documentary special: The Pursuit: F1 ACADEMY.

What to Expect from ‘The Pursuit: F1 ACADEMY’
Hitting screens globally on November 19, the special promises an unfiltered look at the 2025 F1 ACADEMY season. If you have been following the rise of this all-female racing series, you know it is packed with intense competition and massive ambition. The special follows elite drivers like Doriane Pin, Maya Weug, Chloe Chambers, and Alisha Palmowski as they navigate the immense pressures and personal sacrifices required to succeed in modern motorsport.
It is not just about the racing. Filmed across the globe, the documentary explores the grit it takes to break barriers in a male-dominated arena. We will also hear from the leadership shaping the sport, including Managing Director Susie Wolff, who notes the special will capture the true reality of the journey—setbacks and all.
Fueling the Next Generation of Drivers
Produced alongside ESPN, the documentary is part of the larger “Fuel the Magic” collaboration between Disney and Formula 1. Fans might remember when Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck became the faces of the F1 ACADEMY earlier this year to promote representation. Now, The Pursuit takes that mission a step further, aiming to inspire young women everywhere to chase their dreams fearlessly.
