5,000 steps for Michele
Thirteen-year-old Michele Dichiera is one of 20 known cases around the world suffering with Giant Cell Angioblastoma and believed to be the only person in Australia born with the condition.
Treatments have so far been ineffective, and the family is facing medical bills of $7,500 a month for a trial medication.
The other option is to amputate Michele’s foot.
John Burfitt for C.H.A.I.L.I.S. has set an ambitious target of raising $15,000 in June, July and August in support of the Mildura youngster.
