South Australia Police Water Operations Unit have just completed a River Safe patrol over the long weekend, covering an area from Swan Reach to Renmark over the four-day period.
During this time, officers checked the safety equipment of 71 vessels and carried out alcohol and drug testing.
At Ramco, near Waikerie, a man operating a ski boat tested positive for cocaine.

Four jet skiers were detected operating without a licence and received expiation notices.
Overall Water Operations members were happy to see most boat users doing the right thing.
