Federal National MP ANNE WEBSTER’s welcomed news a proposed default speed limit reduction has been quietly shelved.
The member for Mallee says the Federal Government’s proposal was scrapped late last week, which would have seen the default limit on some regional roads slashed from 100 to 70-kilometres an hour.
She says if it had gone ahead regional development would have slowed.

The Nationals member also thanked those who made submissions and contacted their MPs.
