Fisheries Industrial Action

Fisheries Officers across the border have launched industrial action , amid safety fears while on the job. New South Wales officers have demanded better protective equipment including stab-proof vests and capsicum spray due to a spate of recent attacks. There’s been reports of officers getting threatened with knives and baseball bats and even shot at. It comes with an expected influx of visitors to the Murray these school holidays and as the weather gets warmer.
