The Fire Danger Period will start on October 30 in Mildura.
Council-issued permits will NOT be valid from that date, and the City says it can’t issue permits until the fire danger period is over.
The Council is also urging locals to ensure their properties are prepared for the fire season, but clearing long vegetation, rubbish and unused materials.

Staff will be inspecting land across the municipality to make sure there are no fire risks.
