Mildura footballer Carmello Lando will face the local tribunal on Wednesday over an incident in the Round 11 match against Merbein.
The Sunraysia Daily says Lando has been charged with striking James Stewart in the last quarter of the game earlier this month, leaving Stewart with a broken jaw. He was interviewed by an independent investigator last week after having surgery in Melbourne.
Also, Irymple’s Nick Mee has been booked for striking during the clash with Red Cliffs on the weekend.
