Heating Up On Water Consumption.

Lower Murray Water is reminding us of the importance and to adhere to the Permanent Water Saving Rules in place all year round. Gardens and Lawns can be watered from 6pm – 10am daily and a hand-held hose fited with a trigger nozzle can be used at any time.

The Lower Murray has seen an increase to the City’s water consumption in the past few weeks, including usage spikes when the temperatures have reached into the 40’s.

They have said on average Mildura households consume a higher amount of water compared to our metropolitan counterparts, due to property and block size, larger garden areas and the use of evaporative air-conditioning usage in the Mallee region.

The Lower Murray will conduct regular patrols of areas within the region to educate us of these times. If you have concerns or queries you can contact them online at www.lmw.vic.gov.au.
