More than 230-thousand dollars has been announced to help agricultural communities in the Mallee better prepare for drought.

It's part of the federal government's Build Drought Resilience Program, with successful local projects including Food Next door Co-Op which has received over 35-thousand dollars to strengthen connections between farming and young people.

136-thousand has been announced for Mallee District Aboriginal Services for a shed refurbishment project.
