Setback for Wood

LUCKLESS North Melbourne forward Mason Wood is unlikely to take part in the pre- season competition after suffering a broken thumb.

Wood picked up the injury during last week’s intra-club match and will be unable to take part in full-contact training for about three weeks.

“He doesn’t require surgery and the crack is very small and the injury, overall, a minor one,” North football boss Cameron Joyce said.
