Green gets another year at Dons

ESSENDON has re-signed small forward Josh Green to a new one-year deal.

Green, who joined the Bombers after 81 games and 107 goals with Brisbane ahead of the 2017 season, managed 17 games this year before a foot injury in Round 22 cost him the chance of playing finals.

“I’m really thankful to Essendon for the opportunity they have given me,” Green said.

“I believe we have an exciting group of youth and experience, and if we put our heads down and work hard, success will follow.

“I’m excited to get stuck into training and continue striving towards achieving our team’s goals in the 2018 season.”

MEANWHILE, Port Adelaide has signed six players, including former No.4 draft pick Jimmy Toumpas, on one-year deals.

Will Snelling, Peter Ladhams, Jarrod Lienert, Cam Hewett and Emmanuel Irra will remain on the Power’s Rookie List.
