An expanded mobile network has been turned on by Vodafone.
The telco’s move is expected to help customers in areas including the Mildura region, growing from one to thirteen mobile sties.
Vodafone has had a network sharing agreement with Optus approved by the ACCC, with the network build expected to be completed in coming months.
Vodafone’s mobile coverage has more than doubled across Australia, going from 400,000 square kilometres of coverage to more than one million square kilometres of coverage.
In Victoria, the Vodafone mobile network has more than doubled its geographical coverage, gaining access to an additional 602 mobile sites and lifting its population coverage from 97 per cent to 99.6 per cent.
In the coverage maps red indicates TPG Network and green indicates the active MOCN Sharing Network.
