“Firstly, through each member’s own unique experience in the respective sectors they’ll be able to provide insights and advice, which will be invaluable in itself,” she said.

“But as industry members who live and work within the tourism and economic development-related sectors of our community, they’ll be able to feed information and advice into each advisory committee.”

“Each committee will then report to Council’s Strategy and Growth Department, which oversees economic development and tourism functions within Council.”

Each committee will elect a Chair at its first meeting, who will be in place for a 12-month term.
