National Police Remembrance Day 2025

National Police Remembrance Day, today, 29 September, will see Victoria Police members, family and friends gather with the community to pay their respects to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Locally, the Mildura Police Remembrance Day Service will be held at the Sacred Heart Peace Memorial, Catholic Church, 259 Eleventh Street, Mildura from 11:00am.

There have been 178 Victoria Police officers killed while serving and protecting the community since the force was established in 1853.

All will never be forgotten.

Chief Commissioner Mike Bush said “Today on National Police Remembrance Day and every day, we pay our respects to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.”

“We honour and remember the 178 Victoria Police officers who put their lives on the line and tragically died while serving and protecting the community.

“Each of them will never be forgotten.”
