A second Victorian has died from the Murray Valley encephalitis after being bitten by mosquitoes in the state’s north.
It’s the second fatality from the virus in a month. with authorities saying a woman in her 60s was most likely exposed to infected mozzies in Greater Bendigo, while also spending time in the Swan Hill area.
Mildura Council’s also detected Murray Valley Encephalitis in the past week in mosquitoes across the region
