Regional Schools are being urged to hire pest controllers to kill mosquitoes, after the rise in the Murray Valley encephalitis found in the insects in areas including Mildura and Swan Hill.
A third Victorian died earlier this month from the virus.
The Education Department’s offered funding to hundreds of schools, camp providers and daycare centers to cover the cost of spraying.
