Multiple fires in Nangiloc yesterday have been brought under control, but locals around the area are being advised of smoke still around the area.
Crews were called late yesterday, with smoke possibly still visible in the area this morning.
The fires were brought under control just before 10:00pm.
Meantime, Mildura locals are bracing for another scorcher today with extreme heat forecast for the next week.
Fires also continue around the Grampians, after smoke haze from the bushfires was seen across our region over the weekend.
Merbein Fire Brigade is sending volunteers down south to assist with those ongoing bushfires.
Five members are joining the fight against blazes in the Grampians, with areas of the states west still under emergency evacuation warnings amidst extreme conditions.
Merbein Fire Brigade says they wish their members all the best and look forward to their safe return.
