The Mildura 100 Ski Race won’t be going ahead this year.
Organisers have taken to social media saying the 2025 event won’t be held this ski race season following recent incidents within the sport.
A hold on all competitive ski racing in Australia is now in place until June 30, while Ski Racing Australia and NSW Maritime undertake a special purpose investigation.
The popular event’s usually held as part of the Easter Powersports weekend in Mildura, and organisers say they’re working with Mildura Rural City Council and sponsors on alternate plans.
The club says it’s had no major catastrophic incidents in its history, and is looking to host bigger national ski race events in the future.
