Mildura Settlers have put in a solid effort against top-placed Gol Gol in the first weekend of a two-day match in the 1st Division of the Sunraysia Cricket Association.
Settlers bowled out the ladder-leaders for 191 before reaching stumps on one-for-49 in their run chase, looking to pull off one of the upsets of the season.
Meantime Irymple has amassed a total of 393 in its match against Coomealla Wentworth thanks to a huge knock of 235 from Scott Steel.
The second day of all Round Twelve fixtures are played next weekend.
