With temperatures expected to hit 31 in Mildura today, dog owners are being warned not to leave their canines on metal ute trays.
Police have seen several dogs left on ute trays in recent hot days across Mildrua and Swan hill..
They say under laws.. dogs must not be secured on a metal tray over a vehicle or trailer when outside temperatures are 28 degrees or above, without the animal have access to insulated material.
