Balranald Shire Council is seeking funding from Australian Government to construct Rest Areas on Ivanhoe Road.
The proposed Rest Areas aim to:
• Improve safety for long-distance travellers and heavy vehicle operators.

• Support tourism and local communities by offering a reliable stopping point along this key route.
Council is inviting community feedback and letters of support to strengthen the funding application and demonstrate the importance of this project to residents, transport operators, and road users.
