Parentline Victoria is being shut down by the Victorian Government.
This isn’t the first time the free service for parents has been under threat, Parentline faced the chopping block three years ago in 2022.
For more than 25 years Parentline has provided confidential advice to parents of children up to 18 years old.
It has helped with everything from child development and behaviour to family breakdown and emotional stress, with experienced social workers, psychologists and family therapists that can give parents counselling and information around a wide range of parenting issues.
It has been open seven days a week, from 8:00am to midnight, and costs $1.3 million a year to run.
Parentline Victoria, 13 22 89, will reportedly close on October 31st.
