Mildura Arts and Culture Advisory Committee is seeking nominations for the 2025 Elliott Award.
The Elliott Award recognises an outstanding contribution to the arts in our community, particularly where that contribution has not previously been formally acknowledged.
Mildura Arts and Culture Advisory Committee Chair Joe Simonetta said Mildura’s arts and cultural life is deeply enriched by the diversity of our community.
“The Elliott Award celebrates those who have played a unique role in shaping, sharing, and strengthening this rich cultural landscape,” Mr Simonetta said.
Previous recipients of the award have been recognised for:
- length of service to the arts
- breadth of their contribution throughout the term of their involvement in the arts
- encouragement and nurturing of children and youth in arts practice
- championing of arts involvement to the broader community
- creation of a significant positive community legacy to the development of the arts in our community.
Mr Simonetta encouraged local residents to nominate someone they believe is deserving of recognition.
The Elliott Award was founded by the Mildura Arts and Culture Board (2004-13) and from 2014, has continued under the guidance of the Mildura Arts and Culture Advisory Committee.
