PEOPLE are being urged to “turn orange” to show determination to ending gender-based violence.
With figures showing Mildura has a much higher than State average incident with the number of violence acts against women and girls, the campaign is titled “Respect Mallee”, it is part of the 16 Days of Action
Starting on Tuesday 25 November, Mildura Rural City Council is partnering with multiple organisations in Sunraysia to take action to prevent violence in our Community.

Mildura Rural City Council spokesperson for “Community Development and gender equity” Cr Katie Clements said everybody can be involved during the 16 Days of activation with numerous activities available to help raise awareness.
