Drivers are being advised to be careful on local roads, as the
harvest season gets underway.
Wentworth Council says there'll be more heavy vehicles and farm
machinery going between properties and grain receival sites on both
sides of the Murray, and drivers may come across larger and slow
moving vehicles more often.
The CFA's also encouraging producers to ensure their equipment's
maintained, and to take precautions to avoid harvester fires.
The fire authority says headers will be taking on more dirt this
season due to low rainfall and dry soil, asking farmers to clean
their heads more often to stop dust build up.
