Man charged over armed robbery – Wentworth

Police have charged a man over an armed alleged robbery last month.

About 4.35pm on Friday 17 October 2025, officers from the Barrier Police District responded to reports of an armed robbery upon a financial institution in Darling Street, Wentworth.

Police were informed that a man entered the business allegedly armed with a pole making threats towards staff and customers.

The man left the location with an amount of cash and was last seen running west along Adelaide Street.

There were no reports of any person being injured.

Following extensive inquiries, a 32-year-old man was arrested at Dareton, about 4.30pm Friday afternoon (31 October 2025).

He was taken to Dareton Police Station and charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon.

The man was refused bail to appear at Court on a later date.
